DTF — direct-to-film — prints your art in full CMYK plus a white underbase onto film, bonds it with hot-melt adhesive powder, and heat-presses it into the garment. Gradients, photographs, tiny type, 47-color artwork: all one price, because there are no screens to make.
No screens means no minimums. It's the honest answer for small batches, sample runs and designs too complex to separate into spot colors. And it sticks to almost anything — cotton, polyester, blends, caps, tote bags, light or dark fabric.
A properly pressed DTF print stretches with the fabric and holds up through 50+ washes. The key is right temp, time and pressure — which is why we press in-house or send exact instructions with every transfer.

No screens means no setup and no minimum — one shirt is a real order here. Cost per piece still eases down as the count grows, since printing, powdering and pressing all run faster in batches.
DTF is priced by the film your art covers, not the color count — a 40-color design costs the same as a one-color one at the same size. A left-chest logo uses a fraction of a full back print.
Ready-to-press transfers sell by sheet size, not per design. Pack a gang sheet edge to edge and your cost per design falls fast — we lay out the sheet so almost no film goes to waste.

Before you ask
Is there a minimum order for DTF transfers?
No. One shirt, one transfer, one gang sheet — all fair game. That's the whole point of DTF: no screens, no setup, no minimum. Once you hit 30+ pieces of a simple spot-color design, screen printing usually gets cheaper per shirt, and we'll steer you there when it does.
What garments can you print with DTF?
Almost anything with a flat, pressable surface: 100% cotton, polyester, cotton/poly blends, tri-blends, hoodies, caps, tote bags — light or dark fabric. The white ink underbase keeps colors loud on black garments. We stock Comfort Colors, AS Colour, Gildan, Bella+Canvas and Shaka, or press onto blanks you supply.
How durable are DTF prints, and how do I care for them?
Pressed right, a DTF print stretches with the fabric and survives 50+ washes without cracking or peeling. Care is simple: wash inside-out in cold water, tumble dry low or hang dry, and never iron directly on the print. Most early failures come from bad pressing, not bad film — temp, dwell time and pressure matter.
What's a gang sheet?
One large sheet of DTF film packed edge-to-edge with as many designs as fit — different sizes, different artwork, all on the same sheet. You pay by sheet size, not per design, so a tightly packed gang sheet is the cheapest way to buy transfers. You cut them apart and press as needed. Our pressing guide walks through the whole process.
